One enclosure instead of three
A conventional commercial storage retrofit needs a battery inverter, a PV inverter, a separate transfer switch and a controls cabinet — four boxes, four sets of drawings and four firms to coordinate. The HP-100 collapses that into one IP66 wall-mounted enclosure with its own grid-forming island mode.
Four-quadrant operation means the same hardware charges and discharges, so a site can import at night on a cheap tariff, discharge into the evening peak and still export surplus solar. There is no separate charge controller to specify or to fail.
- Volt-var and volt-watt — reactive power injected or absorbed to hold the point of connection inside its voltage band, which is often the difference between a permitted and a rejected grid connection.
- Frequency-watt — active power curtailment and recovery to the characteristic published by the local network operator.
- Ride-through — configurable voltage and frequency envelopes so the unit rides through a fault instead of tripping the whole site.
Backup without a second switchboard
With the island mode armed, the HP-100 forms its own 400 V reference and picks up the backed-up circuits in 10 ms. On a commercial site that is normally enough to keep chillers, servers and lighting up through a short outage without a separate static transfer switch.
The unit is rated 110 % continuous and 150 % for 10 s, so motor loads start without an oversized converter.
Standards and commissioning
The HP-100 carries UL 1741 SB, IEC 62477-1 and EN 50549-1, which covers the United States, the European Union and most markets that adopt IEC frameworks. Each unit ships with the type test certificates, a settings record and a commissioning checklist that a third-party inspector can sign off against.
Minimum order quantity is two units with a standard lead time of 42 days. Firmware configuration for the target grid code is performed in the factory before dispatch.
