What to include in an RFQ
Nothing here is mandatory except the application itself. Each item you include removes one round trip from the quotation.
- Application or process the part or system goes into
- Duty cycle, load profile or required measuring range
- Electrical class: supply voltage, three-phase or DC, grid code if applicable
- Quantities per year and the quantity for the first order
- Destination country and port — it decides the certification route
- Certifications or customer standards the goods must hold
- Existing part number or drawing, if this is a replacement or retrofit
- Required delivery date and whether it is fixed by a shutdown

What happens after you send it
- Within one business dayA named application engineer replies — not an autoresponder and not a call centre. If your enquiry is missing something that blocks a quotation, the reply says exactly what.
- Within three business daysFor a specification enquiry you get a sizing note, a proposed configuration, the lead time and the document pack list. For a catalogue item it is a quotation with the applicable datasheet and declaration of conformity attached.
- Before dispatchTest records, material certificates, calibration certificates, UN 38.3 summaries and declarations of conformity are issued with the goods. Serial numbers resolve to the production batch and the test stand record.
